I was at the Yes concert that also had Billy Joel and Wild Turkey. Yes was amazing. My favorite band of all times. Not happy that YES has someone else now doing lead coals, and not Jon. His voice IS Yes!!!! And always will be.

September 22, 1972: Yes with The Eagles, Arie Crown Theater, Chicago - it was a wonderful show! Arie Crown is nearly acoustically perfect, and this was their Close To The Edge tour after Bruford left. The "unknown" Eagles were warmly received, and significant songs included their hits "Take It Easy" and "Witchy Woman." After their performance, Eagles introduced "our friends, The Yes!" (some folks used to call them that back in the day).
The highlight of the Yes performance was the entire "Close to the Edge" album, which was sublime! Squire was young, thin and all over the stage, wearing his thigh-length suede boots...he would play bass, tap on bass pedals AND sing simultaneously!

Billy joel was the opening act, I should know, I played that gig! The second act was Wild Turkey, then Yes.

The Eagles were not on the bill this night. They played with Yes in
Chicago in September 1972.
