performance quality: A- a nice Tales show
recording quality: a solid B, very good mono audience, up close, everything comes through clearly
unknown lineage (probably 1st or 2nd generation)
1: the revealing science of God
2: the remembering
3: the ancient
This is essentially the whole Tales part of this concert (missing everything before and after which I suspect would be firebird suite, siberian khatru, and you and I, roundabout.) Probably recorded on a mono Sony cassette deck, quality is not bad for this era, taper was fairly close up, there are edits before and after each song but they're all complete. This is one of my favorite Tales shows and the sound is pretty good for a hockey arena show.
I got this in a trade many years ago on 1 full 90 min. cassette. There may be a completer version of this out there but I haven't seen this one on dime yet, so here it is, in honor of the Giant Upset in Superbowl 42, a good NY show from a Giant band. (although they may not know what a "touchdown" means.)
Guess I'm a little late for that but oh well, better 2 months late than not at all. This taper didn't get the whole concert, but managed to get all 4 of the highlights of it (imho) complete, which is a nice thing.
If this show has been posted on dime before, this source has likely not been posted before (at least from my tape). I think most will find the sound quality pretty nice here. it's one of the nicer sounding recordings and shows I've heard of TFTO Yes, the band sounds focused, together and inspired.
do not sell this recording.
nobody wants to hear eMPty3 tales
