My first concert at 14 my mom and dad drove us and dropped us off. Around 2008 I told Chris Squire that they played South Side of the Sky way back then and he couldn't hardly believe it! He thought I was putting him on.

This was my first concert ever to attend. I was 13 years old and had no idea what I was in for.

The lighting and articulated set designs still hold the pinnacle of rock concert experiences for me. Their music was perfect and otherworldly and inspire me to this day.

I was already a new Yes fan however, as I had bought Yessongs in 1973 based on the sole reason of the Roger Dean art. Ironically that was the first ever album I had ever purchased as well.

This was my first YES concert. I was 15. I have never forgotten that night. I love every song they played that night, still to this day. Jon Anderson appeared to be (excuse me) like an angel on stage. I have loved this band ever since and always will.

The Yes 74 Tulsa gig was my first rock concert. I had no idea of what a rock concert even was. Oddly, I was a big Rick Wakeman fan but had no idea he was in Yes previously...which is funny to think about in retrospect what the people sitting around us at the show must have thought...especially when one guy in our party asked me if Wakeman used to be in Yes and I said I think so.

I didn't own any Yes albums prior to the concert but I do remember the cha-cha section of 'Soundchaser', and the laser during 'Close to the Edge'. Gryphon's bassoonist was decked out in some Shakespeare garb (loon pants) as he ran around stage. That concert is the one I use as a yardstick to judge concerts.

The stage set for the show was the same one they use in the QPR laser disc.

They entered thru this big white fabric tube that went back to the dressing room...we walked around the arena after the show was over and couldn't get thru because the cloth tunnel cut off the egress.

'South Side' on the Relayer tour?!? Its true. Funny enough, it doesn't sound all that different than the one played in Bradford '71. The whole middle piano section is cut with an additional solo by Howe and Moraz in its place. Moraz's solo sounds like it came straight out of 'Soundchaser' and doesn't fit with the song very well.
