I saw this show. Got there early as it had been raining lightly all day. Sat in the foyer of Allen Fieldhouse for a long time. The concert was delayed and i heard it was because KU's womens basketball team had to practice. By the time the doors opened, there were so many people trying to get out of the rain into the small foyer, that a near crush ensued. I had a camera case with me and it was stuck in the crowd once i got through the door. I had to pull it forcibly out of the jammed mass of people.
That aside, i also remember the acoustics being muddy. But the show was great and Dean brothers stage sculptures were amazing. I'm still trying to find decent stage photos from this part of the tour, because it seems like the fiberglass pieces they used to the left and right of White's insect dome were different than what is usually posted online.

This was my first YES show as well. I was completely blown away by this band. My brother had bought a ticket for me and I have been indebted to him ever since. The music, the stage, the experience just found its way into the core of my being and thankfully, has yet to leave.

The Lawrence, Ks show was my first Yes concert, and I very nearly missed it. We arrived before the doors opened and were standing in the crowd waiting to get in for an hour. At some point my ticket, which I had been holding, was no longer in my hand and was never found. So I had to leave for home, grab a check, go to the store to get cash and came back to the Allen Field House. I was able to buy a ticket and walked in during the opening band, which I recall was Family. The show was excellent, and The Roger Dean Set was a lot of fun. I would love to hear a live recording of it, if it exists. I was able to buy some black and white photos from this show, but I haven't seen them in a while.

I saw Yes for the second time in Lawrence while attending KU.

Great Show. I have not seen them since but plan to the next chance I get.

I was at the Yes concert in Lawrence, Ks, it was at the college campus I was 18 and into acad at the time. God intended for me to see that show. When we got their we found out that the show was sold out but as we were leaving we saw some guys inside open up some side doors as much as they could (there were chains on the doors) and some skinny guys got through that already had tickets, they sold their tickets to us for five dollars.

I was tripping to much to remember details about the show but I do remember Steve Howe playing steel pedal guitar on "To Be Over" - during the song I was levitated to the center of the auditorium, the stage was alive, I expereinced Nirvana. That night changed my life. I have been at peace with my reality ever since. I wish you all could have been there!

I went to see Yes for the first time in 1974 at Allen Field House in Lawrence, KS. I was the tender age of 17.

The eacoustics of the place were horrible, but that was soon forgotten as I was swept up into the experience. Truly, it was like seeing a band from another planet. I was already an admirer of Roger Dean, and this was an incredible stage set. I've never seen the like since, and I would love to see it again.

I saw a show in Lawrence, Kansas on this tour. Gryphon was an excellent opening act.
