Vince Saturday, December 9, 2017 8:35 AM Interesting that at the end of the review is a paragraph about the Mississippi River Festival--why it's in a Cincinnati newspaper, I'm not sure....but it's the venue Yes played for the St. Louis stop on this tour.... Jerry b not only did GRYPHON appear in concert with YES that night - after the show - me and my friend Terry Pierce met the drummer/percussionist from the band ( Gryphon) at a waffle house near the airport/interstate and he sat with us and talked for awhile - his name is David Oberle and he's a great guy. it was just a chance, serendipitous (accidental) meeting, but I'll never forget it! also, Brian Gulland (bassOon from Gryphon) HE chastized the Cincinatti audience for being the noisy-est they had ever seen!! Jim Heuring Gryphon did appear! How could you forget a rock-classical fusion group featuring an electric oboe player! Tom Blankemeyer I attended the Cincinnati show and Gryphon definitely opened the Cincinnati concert. Bob Ronau Gryphon did not appear in Cincinnati. |
