I was at this gig, a Wednesday night, having attended the Cardiff Capitol show the previous Friday. There were sound problems from the off, Gryphon didn't play and we were "treated" to multiple repeat playings of Kraftwerk's "Autobahn" as the engineers fiddled with the sound.
Yes were, of course, brilliant despite the sound problems but the audience were rather sedate. All remained seated through each song and then gave a standing ovation at the end, very different from the Cap. I was sat in "the Gods" with two mates and we went downstairs to stage front for the encores - Roundabout & Sweet Dreams". Althogh the gig was full there were less than 10 of us jigging about at the end and I think all 10 of us were Welsh!
I saw my first ever gig at the Colston Hall (Rory Gallagher) and I haven't been there since this Yes show in 1975. I'm going back there in 2 months time - 23rd November 2009 - Yes are playing!

I went to the first and last ones [Bristol shows], and in one of them (I think it was the last but I'm not certain) Moraz's keyboard solo was a disaster, possibly due to tech problems. (Soon after he started doing just a piano solo, as at the QPR gig.)
