Drove from Nebraska to see this show. Ran into Patrick Moraz in the Holiday Inn bar prior to the gig. Mentioned it was my birthday. He said he'd play "Happy Birthday" for me during his piano solo. And he did. Best birthday ever.

This was my first Yes concert. The band was very well recieved and the applause at the end was deafening. They did the second encore of Sweet Dreams and the band was grinning from ear to ear.

This was my first concert ever. I knew the ushers at Municipal and a freind and I walked in for free. Not only that, but they took us down front where we sat in front of the front row seats! I was about 5 feet away from Chris the whole night. Times being what they were, we kept smoking the pipe the whole time and I think Chris was even looking at us thinking, "give it a rest for awhile, guys!". Anyway, the stage, the songs, especially "And You And I" and the musicians just seemed to take me away. I also recall a particularly amazing solo by Pat Moraz, who seemed to want to make people forget Rick Wakeman. I was only 14 then, and have now been a Yes fanatic for 30 years, having seen them about 35 times, but that first show will always be the best in my mind for so many reasons. Yes fans have truly been blessed that they are still around in 2005, and still touring cause there isn't much else out there to go see that can compare to a Yes show.
