I attended this show while visiting a friend in Toronto--in fact I timed it this way on purpose. It was an excruciatingly hot and humid day, and the “flames” during “Delirium” seemed to add to the temperature in the venue.

Earlier in the day my friend and I were hanging around the side entrance, wondering if we could get into sound check. A limo pulled up and out popped Chris and Steve. We were a bit stunned—we said “hi”, they said “hi”, and before we could catch our breath they darted through the door and were gone. I kicked myself for not saying more and lost the chance to get in as planned.

Another thing I do remember about this gig—they dropped “To Be Over” (despite the set list here). I distinctly remember that because I had seen them in the L.A. area twice earlier in the tour when they did perform the song, and was disappointed when they didn’t do that one at the Toronto show. I don't recalling them dropping "Sweet Dreams" as it states here.

at the moment,
i can't recall the source i'm thinking of....
however,
i believe that the three members of Rush attended this gig.
they were taking a night off from recording their Caress Of Steel album.
apparently,
the guys wanted to give up altogether after watching Yes perform.
if i can find the source,
i'll add it to the notes for this gig....

I was there and I remember it very well. The sound was terrible for one thing....very muddy. I wasn't happy when they opened with Sound Chaser. When Jon, Chris and Steve came in with the vocal, they were off-key and it took them a bar or two to get it right. They rushed through 'And You and I' like they had to catch a plane or something. Moraz's solo set was actually quite boring. Lots of people started talking and milling about in the aisles. He just didn't have the flash Wakeman had. I recall also being disappointed with his way of playing Rick's parts on 'Close to the Edge'.

The bandmembers looked tired from the endless touring. They jumped around on stage trying to look enthusiastic but it was obvious they were just going though the motions. I remember it was really hot that day and Jon remarking that he should have brought his swimming trunks. We all laughed at that.

I remember the encore they did and the clear lack of enthusiasm. When they left the stage, Alan gave a tired wave to the crowd and a roadie, I think it was Claude Johnson-Taylor came on stage right away and started disassembling the equipment. I guess I was right. The band really was in a hurry!

I was at that show, and after Roundabout, they played the Beatles tune
"I'm Down" That was sure a surprise to everyone in attendance.
As I recall it was about 90f outside and well over 100f inside.
Great show , one I'll never forget. Impressed the hell out of me !
