Aerosmith was filming a "video" for "Pink" at the pool that night. They were doing live vocals to a backing track. Steve Tyler ended the video by diving into the Hard Rock pool. The filming ended about a half hour before Yes took the stage.

The video was played at the Billboard Music Awards, which were held in Vegas a couple of weeks later.

It doesn't matter where Yes plays, the bottom line is that they can still deliver the goods as they proved on saturday night in Vegas. Yes had been playing 2000-4000 seat theaters on this 97-98 tour, compared to arenas that they played in during past tours. It was very pleasant, yet surprising, to see them in the 1,400 seat showroom named the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, which was more than packed. As for the show itself, the band more than delivered. Jon Anderson is singing as good as ever, while Chris Squire showed plenty of enthusiasm with his bass playing with Alan White solid as always on the drums, and Steve Howe providing fluid and various leads from his array of guitars. As for the newcomers, Igor Khoroshev more than held his own on the keyboards. He handled the parts so well that the band should make him an official member if Wakeman does not return. Ironically, Igor has a playing style that is similar to Keith Emerson. Though Billy Sherwood is officially a member, at times he seemed out of place with the rest of the band. He provided strong vocal support along with a few leads on the Rabin numbers, but most of the time he was just strumming away on the guitar. I hope his stage presence improves along with learning the classic songs where he can have something to play on for future tours. As for the setlist, mostly the same except for a Anderson-Howe duet on the song >From The Balcony. Anderson stated that this was only the 2nd time they performed the number. The band seemed to be in very good spirits throughout the show. Plenty of smiles to go around. It was great to see the solos from Howe(Clap-Mood for a day), Squire(Whitefish), and to see White do his was more than a treat. Outside of the drum duet he did with Bill Bruford on the Union tour, White had not performed a solo for quite some time. The Yesmen have proven time and time again that they are still a musical power to be dealt with. It looks like they will make good on Anderson's promise to take Yes into the 2st century. After the concert, I managed to get autographs from White, Squire, and the new kid Khoroshev. They showed themselves to be classy people. Igor was surprised being asked for his. I wished the band continued sucess and to keep going. White says he has no plans to stop now! Long live YES!!!
