The second Yes Show I saw in my life (the first one was Berlin, see my review) was nearly identical to the other shows. Steve played "Bareback" in his solo-section, this was new for me. Though we had tickets for the 9th row we did not see Alan because our seats were on the side block and so the mighty speakers covered him. Sometimes we saw his shadows on the walls and on the ceiling. When "All good people" started we decided to run downstairs to the stage and so we did and enjoyed the rest of the show in front of them. It was great and I was glad to see them next day in Hannover.

Chris Squire looked me in the eyes and I thought "Yeah, bass god, do it ! Kill me with that sound, man"

I'm exhausted, deaf, sweaty and tired. But I'm happy. I'm simply overhelmed. It's midnight, and I've just returned from my first YES, show and it was one of the greatest moments in my life. It was a dream that came true, since I didn't dare to hope that they'll be on the road again with Steve Howe and without Rabin. Squire is a hero on stage. I've never seen anybody acting that way before ! What a showman !

Just before the show started there was this long haired jeans guy who suddenly appeared, jumped on the stage and put a yellow rose on Steve's pedal steel guitar. Steve's guitar technician removed it so I don't know if Steve's aware of it.

The band was in top form, very fresh and powerful.

Musically everybody was great, Alan's drum solo was unbelievable, I've never heard him play so powerful on any YES record. Igor is a bloody great keyboarder. He's unbelievable good ! His organ solo in Roundabout for example blew me away. Sherwood was important on the vocal side since he sang some of the higher parts Chris usually sang. I'm not sure about his guitar playing, I think you don't need a guitarist beside Steve Howe.

The sound was perfect, the light show was wonderful.

I was sitting to the left in the 3rd row, Steve Howe in front of me. I've had 12 of these 1,5 x 1,5m loudspeakers in diagonally opposite, Let's say I could hear _very_ well. ;-) I don't know where to start, it was all just fantastic. The audience... well people in the north of germany are a bit reserved you know. The audience was more calm during the songs, but they went crazy when the song was over. Standing ovations after "And you and I", I had tears in my eyes, really. I was celebrating them, I knew exactly that they played Siberian Khatru only for me. They made an extra long extended version since they know how much I love that ending with Steve's solo and all that stuff. Sigh....

At the end of the show I found myself (much to my own surprise) air-bassing, air-Howing, and air-Igoring doing the "Hamburg hustle" with all good people.

BTW, I was the first one in that hall. The first and the only one for about 20 minutes. I've probably made a mistake by just walking through that door, but hell, it was open. Anyway I was alone, alone in that pretty large, wonderful hall. And I was standing at the stage, and looked at this great guitar collection and all that stuff. The hall 1 of the CCH was full I think. Not many free seats left actually.

For some it was just a concert, for me it was one of the greatest moments in my life. I've been waiting for it very long and I'll never forget it.
