I have seen all of the 1970's progressive rock giants: ELP, Genesis, Floyd, Camel, etc. etc., but this was my first YES concert!

Wow! I always thought ELP were tight, but then there are only three of them. Yes are phenomenally tight for a six piece!

Beautiful, Powerful, Exciting, Precise, Emotional - Far better than I had anticipated!

Jon Anderson is a religious messiah bestowing benedictions on the assembled masses - pointing them in the direction of the universal truth that he has divined.

Chris Squire is a demented giant squeezing tones and textures out of his bass guitar that it was never designed to make.

Steve Howe is an cadaverous professor constructing mathematically correct musical equations.

The others too all had their unique contributions to make. The Russian is Emerson without the self obsession, he should come out into the limelight more.

Was this an exceptional concert? Or are they always this good?

PS - I am replaying all my Yes albums now!
