Unknown Thanks to Yesworld for the advance ticket notice - had a pair of second row center seats! The surround sound was not noticeable from there, but didn't expect it to be. The concert was not sold out, but by the time people from the lawn moved down into the empty pavilion seats, it looked full. Howe seemed to have a lot of equipment problems, but didn't let it bother him. As always, his performance was impeccable. Squire appeared to have an early problem with a stage monitor and seemed to ream out one of the roadies, who then hustled to fix it. Otherwise, the consummate showman! Igor was turned up more (versus last fall) in the mix and was great! He helped Jon play the percussion stand during some of his downtimes. Rick who? - it's time to make Igor a member (and turn him up even more in the mix)! Alan appeared tired, but you couldn't tell it from his energetic performance - quite a professional. Billy also seemed turned up (a bit) in the mix and seemed (a bit) more part of the band. Performances were just (if not more so) as tight and energetic as last fall. CTTE was incredible - didn't miss Wakeman at all! |
