I agree with Brian's previous post that they did NOT do Going for the One in this show. And I was disappointed because of it. But they certainly made up for it with other cuts from the album. I wish I could go back and experience it again (including Donovan!).

In regards to Brian not remembering GFTO...

...My friends and I went to both shows in Philly. I am rather sure they did GFTO on the first night but not the second night (which I could be wrong there). I only remember this because the first time thru the "Going for the One lyrics" Jon's voice "crackled" (or whatever the proper term). He also had a slight problem the next time through (i think he must of backed off).

That may have been the one and only time over ALL the Years and shows that I recall there being a real issue with Jon's voice.

We had third row in front of Steve Howe I remember Donovan getting hit with a hoagie and left the stage shortly after that it was an incredible show!

I remember this show well, so well that I can swear they did NOT perform Going for the One. I know it's listed here in the setlist, but I saw other setlists from days before this and it wasn't played. I know there is a bootleg purporting to be from this show, with GFTO, but I swear they didn't play it, and I never left my seat during the whole show. Anyone else remember it this way?

If I remember correctly that's the year we booo'd Donovan off the stage!!

Oh yeah, this was a serious smokin show with the introduction of GFTO. Regrettably, to this day, it was the only time they did Parallels which features a screamin Squire who wrote the song.

The GFTO material was so good they could have just played that album, which they did by the way, and threw in the not yet too old but goodies. CTTE was still red hot and fresh for this tour and the ST/Roundabout had the entire spectrum rushing the stage during the encore, which was a typical scene at all Yes' sold out Philly shows.

One of the most anticapated concerts of my life.After wearing out an early release of the album "Going For The One", I couldn`t wait for my favorite band to hit Philly again.I was not disappointed.The staging was trimmed down compared to the "Relayer" and "Solo" tours but the sound was not.Just a perfect sound from first note to last. "Parellels" being the highlight.What I remember the most about this show was the clean sound and Alan`s green drum kit with his drums curved at the bottom leading right into the microphones. Seeing this band on these 3 tours really did spoil me when it came to judging other bands concerts. Still, after seeing at least 200 concerts from other bands after all these years, only Pink Floyds "Animals" and Supertramps "Breakfast In America" tours are the only concerts that even come close to the pure clean sound I heard with these Yes shows.
