David B Thursday, February 21, 2013 12:08 PM Tour date is wrong. Actual date of this show was 9/19/77. Also, order listed is wrong. This is the correct song order: Firebird Suite Parallels I've Seen All Good People Close To The Edge Turn Of The Century Colours Of The Rainbow Wonderous Stories Tour Song And You And I Going For The One Flight Jam Awaken Starship Trooper Roundabout Collin Van Uchelen They used beautiful green lasers in the show, and projected moving images on a large screen above and behind the stage: a image of Earth rotating, a dancer,. Donovan opened the show. It was a turning point in my life, and it made it clear that "Awaken" is an amazing, powerful, beautiful masterpiece. [About the laser effects] This effect was *so increadibly cool* its hard to describe. As these "raindrops" of light rained down onto the stage, the overall lights were slowly turned down. What I saw was brilliant droplets of light, illuminating the shape and form of bodies and instruments of the band members. It looked a lot like it did when people would get "beamed/energized/transported" in the old Star Trek show. Bodies of flashing droplets of light. People in the crowd *screamed* and whistled and cheered and just went wild in response to the effect. It was amazing, awesome, beautiful, psychedelic, unreal, stunning... Was that the "Clair Brothers" who did the lights for that tour?? They deserve a hugh thank you from me.. |
