I was there too. Nice to see that all those Ardmore boys made it to Dallas for the concert. Wish I had know we could have met. I was already living in Dallas at the time.

Been a long time since I heard from you. I ran across a Yes website today where you told the story obout Ricky and Yes Tales. I still have and listen to that album.

I hope Larry Lamb sees this-
This was one of the top three concerts I've ever seen, and that includes Pink Floyd at Tarrant County Convention Center on the Animals tour on 5/1/77 and Led Zeppelin on three different tours, but mainly 4/1/77. Yes played all their songs practically note for note and you could have watched any one guy the entire show and been just amazed. Each one was a master musician and just incredible. I've seen Yes a number of times and a show of "Yes Music" with most of the original members, but nothing compares to that first time.
Larry, if you should happen to read this- Kurt and both live in San Diego CA and I can be found in the telephone directory- Kurt and I both would love to hear from you.

Our seats were in the upper balcony, on the far left side of the stage. That sounds horrible, but we were actually able to see the entire stage (and everyone on it) from above. Before the show, we could see some movement around the keyboards. Then chords. Rick played the opening to 'Parallels' a couple of times, in the darkness, then quit. Guess he missed the sound check.

The opening act was Donovan. His set was OK, he was attempting another comeback, play you my new album kind of deal.

Then Yes. The first song was, you guessed it, 'Parallels' (Rick gave it away) and they played a fantastic show. They played 'Close To The Edge, they played a lot of the new album, but they didn't play 'Heart of the Sunrise'.

Steve Howe was amazing. 'Awaken' was too. There were no special effects, just colored lights and music. Kurt and Randy Askew, where are you?
