What a show!!! In the round at Kemper Arena. Had tickets next year the darn roof caved in, the day before the show!!Went with Bro George (deceased) Taft and Sheila Moyer (Brother and Sister) Been to many I mean many shows in my life, this was by far my favorite!!!

I hitched from Greensboro, N.C. and saw the show. The encore started with the old rocker 'Kansas City Witch'. Steve so tottaly messed-up that they stoped appologised and started over. Then, and I still don't understand how they did it, they seged into Roundabout!!!!!!!!

I saw the Kansas City show on the 1978 Tormato tour at Kemper Arena which was the largest venue in KC. I had twelfth row and an excellent view of every member of the band. The images of the band in the round have pleasantly haunted me ever since. Anderson in his sprite-like voice and stature led the packed house into a fantasy kingdom. Chris floated around with his feet firmly on the stage (anyone who has seen him will understand this statement). Wakeman performed a beautifully surreal solo drawing from the Yes Songs version. Howe was at his spasmatic peak, every phrase a surprise and a delight of his inimitable style.

Every song was an adventure taking us deaper into a sonic forest filled with towering trees, powerful mystical beasts and delicate fluttering butterflies. Never since have I been so filled with awe at the chemistry of this or any band. All the pieces fit together perfectly, with each just doing his own thing. What would I pay to relive that night...
