I saw this concert. I was 16 years old and I had been a Yes fan prior to the concert, but some friends and I decided at the last moment to go and because there were so, surprisingly, few people there we were very close to the stage. I was amazed by the performance. I walked out of there almost speechless. For years and even now I refer to it as one of the best concerts I've ever seen and I've seen alot. There may have been 500 to 700 people there max so I felt like one of the lucky few who witnessed this concert and I felt like I got away with something - something others would never know just how special it really was unless they had been there. I had just started learning the guitar and this concert and Steve Howe really inspired me to play and I soon learned Mood for a Day, The Clap and many other Yes tunes that I still like to play today. The band sounded crisp. The round stage revolved so you had a great view of all of the members of the band. Steve Howe was fantastic. He did an acoustical solo set that was very impressive. Rick Wakeman played a great solo - his arms reaching between different sets of keyboard that surrounded him. Wakeman wore a white cape. Jon Anderson sounded fantastic and looked like a character out of the Lord of the Rings stories. I wish I had written down a setlist, because I doubt it was recorded in the Amarillo paper. I remember Roundabout, Mood for a Day, I've Seen All Good People, Heart of the Sunrise, Long Distance Run Around, The Clap, And You and I and Starship Trooper for sure. I have never seen them live again but I am going to as soon as possible.
