To this day, this is the best concert I've ever seen. It was my first Yes show, while still in high school, and it felt like a big deal for us to drive up from San Antonio to see it. The whole night was magical, and "Awaken" utterly blew my mind.....it's been my favorite song ever since. The band was so tight, and seemed to be functioning very well as a unit. Crazy-hard licks in medleys that shifted on a dime to equally-hard parts before roaring off into a new song. I think this time period was the final crest of their wave. "Tormato" may not have been there strongest album, but in terms of their skills and execution together as a band, I think this tour was the high-water mark. Simply stunning.

My God...I cannot believe the tickets were only $8.00!!!!

I cannot afford concerts today...even if there were still many concerts I would be willing to travel to see.

I live in a small West Texas town, who stopped getting decent concerts in the mid to late 1970s. And, even back then, I had to travel both times to see Yes.

I can hardly believe this, but I actually remember the doobie being passed to Chris!!! OMG!

We had seats pretty high up in the upper seats, but during the encore (Roundabout), the fans *us included) began to pour out of the seats down to the stage. The theatre was "in the round". In our state of mind, I will never forget how the people just began to flow like liquid out of their seats, to crowd around the stage. The image will be forever burned in my memory.

I would never have remembered the doobie incident, if I had not been searching for old concert tours, and remeniscing with a friend! Now, THAT image will forever be burned into my memory, as well!!!!

Yes still is one of my top 5 favorite groups, and that was the second time I had seen them. I also saw them in Abilene during the Yessongs tour! I still have the T-shirt from the Yessongs concert. The Yessongs concert was the best light show I ever saw, followed by ELO in Fort worth in 1978....I think.

This is the first concert I ever went to. Of all the shows I have seen since then, this one still stands out, especially the Wakemean solo. The band was so tight and professional, as well as an inspiration for my playing. They had mastered their craft to a science and seemed like they were having a blast. At the end of the encore Chris picked up a doobie that my freind through on stage during roundabout, he put it in his mouth, shrugged his shoulders and then the band left the stage. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen.
