Well, it's the next day and I am still reeling. What a show !

We were fortunate to get 2nd row centre seats - "like having Yes in your living room" said my fellow attender. We both saw The Ladder tour in Dublin and agreed that that show would be hard to beat. Should have known better. Hard to believe that there were only 3 songs in commmon with the Ladder show.

Hard to find a highlight but I think Gates of Delirium had to be it - perhaps because they have only been playing it once in a while recently. However Close To The Edge with the orchestra was an amazing opener.

Tom Brislin was a superb keyboard player - again the consensus was "better than Igor". He had so much energy and enthusiasm. Chris was also on form but perhaps spent a bit to much time with his back to the crowd, presumably joking with the orchestra. He also disappeared off stage between just about every song.

Steve was in great form, despite the odd guitar problem and we got the live premiere of "J's Theme", along with "Second Initial", and no "Clap".

The new album material came across well, however I would have sacrificed one or 2 to put some other stuff in - the show goes from 1975 to 2001 - ignoring 26 years of Yes music - sure they can't do them all, and I'm glad there was no "Owner". Small complaint.

Hate the short version of Roundabout which was perhaps a bit "we have to play this". Even "All Good People" seemed perfunctory compared to the energy and excitement or "Gates" and "Ritual".

Still probably the best gig I have ever attended.

This was one of my best concert experiences, great seats in the middle, about 10 rows back. They played the same set list (almost) as Manchester the previous night, with the exception of "Give love each day". I was disappointed to see this dropped, it's my favourite track off Magnification.

The sound was excellent all night, the orchestra could have been more audible in parts, but that's a minor complaint.

The bands' performance was quite energetic, Squire can still "throw shapes" with the best of them, White was as expressive as ever, Anderson was ...... well Anderson, and Howe, while being the most subdued of the group delivered a delightful solo performance. Two numbers, one classical, the second finger pickin'. Neither of which I knew but enjoyed.

The three Magnification tracks were executed flawlessly. I've always found Gates and Ritual overlong (gasp from the purests) but was delighted to see them performed live. For the encore the group blasted out Roundabout. A terrific finale to a great event I will never forget.

Well, what a gig it was. It was everything i'd hoped for and more! My seat was right in frony Jon, about 10 rows back and they all seemed to be in great form. Jon is such an entertainer, he was like a little kid again! Steve was smiling more than ever this time (he must have smiled at least twice!!) Chris hada scowl on his face that made him look like a teenage rockstar!, Alan was just the coolest ever and as for Tom, how cool was he?!?! Him with all his boogying, he was such a joy to look at. Jon was very funny in between songs, telling us how much he loves the irish and how his mother is irish and he also said he was dreesed in green for the irish.

Well done YES, keep up your career as spokesperson for mother earth and come back again, they are always welcome in Ireland
