Been following Yes since 1982 and seen them every tour since ABWH in '89.

I went to see them in Oslo in early November and Gates was fantastic.
Trouble was in the weeks leading up to the Glasgow concert I'd heard they'd started to drop Gates at the odd concert which was really hacking people off.

I tracked down a few e-mail addresses of Scottish Yes fans through reviews in NFTE and e-mailed people requesting we all write to the
venue c/o Yes to ask them not to drop Gates.

It paid off. What's more I spoke to a guy who said he spoke to Jon after the show at a chip van. Jon said they were going to drop Gates that night but they'd received letters requesting they do it.

It's good that the band do listen.

Great show although I turned up late missing the first 6 minutes of Close To The Edge because my mate insisted on walking round half of Glasgow looking for a certain restaurant.

Simply brilliant, thank you Yes for a superb show.

From the intro of Give Love Each Day to the closing 'di ah do do da da da' harmonies from Roundabout, this was truely a special night of Yes history in Scotland. From the trilogy of tours going back to OYE in '98 this was easily the best performance. For sheer power and precision, possibly on a par with the Relayer tour 1975 and GftO in 1977.

Now if we could have had the atmosphere of the Edinburgh Playhouse '98 transported to Glasgow '01 that would have been the ultimate. Having said that, the Playhouse is more compact and lends itself more easily to audience reaction/participation.

The Glasgow audience however, did really start to turn up the volume at the end and the band certainly appreciated it - a number of sychronised bows were given by the band as Alan (as always)kept time by shouting out the queue's.

A special mention to Alan White, who I thought was outstanding, giving his best performance in Scotland for many a year.

What can I say!!!!
That was one of the best concerts I think I have ever seen. I was sitting fifth row from the front in front of Steve Howe, the sound was great a combination between good sound engineering and great acoustics culminated in perfect sound. You could tell the band were putting everything into their performance. I only wish I had recorded it if anyone has a decent recording of the concert I would really like to get a copy!!!

Good Show Yes!

I have to admit I was pretty keyed up befor the show, wondering whether we would get Gates.....in the end, there was nothing to worry about and the band offered us a quality show, a vast improvement over last years somewhat lacklustre gig.

The set list was unimpeachable, giving us CTTE, GoD and Ritual, the new songs were good too, particularly In the Presence of. Thankfully, 5th row positioning on the Squire side ensured decent volume. Jons voice was note perfect, quite amazing, but the star of the show was indisputably Chris Squire, who was really enjoying himself, even though a man of his stature should surely avoid spandex.....it must be dead hot?!?!

I think the crowd really showed their appreciation to the band quite vociferously, which can be difficult in a rather staid all seated venue like the Clyde Auditorium, and they reciprocated with an enthusiastic and vibrant performance.

And thank God for GoD.

What can you say! Out of the five times I've seen Yes, from the mid 70's until now the show at the Armadillo was Monstrous. The Orchestra was rocking, the conductor was boogying,the whole gang looked as if they were having a ball! Jon even gave Paisley a great shot at City status by saying his old man came from there! The jaws dropped when they started with Close to the Edge and it continued relentlessly, the classics, along with the new ones, which were well received. I don't know how they can top last night's show.If my bro Colin gets half as good a show in manchester on 13th he is in for a rocking good time!!!!!!
