I saw Yes over the years in several different incarnations of lineups and settings. This show was really different and uniquely special.

Yes used Clair Brothers sound, which at the time was about the best sound company around. Headquartered in Lancaster, Pa., bands would do several weeks of tour rehearsals there, before hitting the road. Springsteen popped up in a local bar to play one night. I think Genesis rehearsed there also. Yes decided to do a show in the 3500 seat basketball gym, at the small State college.

I sat on what would have been the basketball bench. I’ll never forget walking in there and seeing that huge Arena size sound system. Back by the sound board there was more equipment, including I think... some they just couldn’t use. The sound was amazing and loud. Yes always sounded great, but not normally this loud. It was their version of a club show and while not playing in full tour precision form, it was an unforgettable and fun evening.

this show was awesome! paid $50 for a $10 ticket and made a hectic ride from Philly, but one of my finest concert moments. made a decent recording, but unfortunate cut in Perpetual Change. Jon saw my little Sony high up in the air, and gave me quite a smile! And thanks a lot to the guy who kept yelling "Christopher!" all night long- paid my recording levels jump all over the place. Man, was that really almost 26 years ago?

We cruised to Millersville to see Yes in this very small venue since the earlier Spectrum show was cancelled (we would also see them a couple months later). Tickets for this show were extremely hard to come by. Many people were trying to scalp and there was absolutely no one with tickets in the lot.

This was the first time seeing Yes in a very small venue and it was quite cozy. I remember the entire band being extremely energized for this show. HEARTS was a stand out for me, and Rabin seriously impressed with his solo.

This was also the first time seeing the new line-up. Being extreme Howe & Wakeman fans we were all a bit skeptical, more so than Drama, but the band played well, although later would prove a little too "poppy" for me and causing me to miss the "classic" Yes greatly.

One funny thing about this tour. We hit a small bar on the way home and there was a rumor floating that Yes was going to appear. Of course we didn't believe it, but we hung on til close in hope... band never showed, but we caught a seriously good buzz with the local hicks.

This is an interesting one. Our Song was performed live on the first show of the 90125 tour. They also did Perpetual Change. These songs were apparently dropped from the set early, early on. They must have rehearsed and performed *all* the 90125 material, and then dropped the songs that they didn't like from the set. They obviously pulled out all of The Yes Album except, oddly, A Venture (and Howe's solo piece! :), namely: Disgrace, Trooper, Good People, and Perpetual Change.

When Tony Kaye was reunited with Chris Squire and Jon Anderson, in 90125, virtually every song from the Yes Album (excluding A Venture and Steve Howe's solo guitar The Clap) was resurrected and performed, including Perpetual Change. The interpretation shifted from Wakeman and Howe's virtuoso instrumentalization to a rocking raw sound. Recordings of this are almost impossible to find.

Millersville was a warm-up show for the tour. They really did try and sing the intro to 'Leave It' and not just use a backing tape like the rest of the tour. The band missed the timings on the 'goodbye bad, hello heaven' part on 'Leave It.' 'Hold On' likewise had timing problems. 'Perpetual Change', to me, sounded borderline Foreigner but Rabin did do a nice job with the guitar parts.

This is the secret WYSP 94 Phila trivia winner prize I won. The station had a bus with a keg and a joint roller that just kept passing them.
I took the camera instead of the recorder like the 2 kids on the bus with me that got caught did. Roadies took their tapes an hour into it.
I saw them 8 times on this tour and this was the only show they did South Side of the Sky, but not well.
I've seen a few boots but none of them have that song. Trevor was definitely having issues with it.
Still an awesome show to restart the band with. Memories !
