While on tour in 1984, Trevor sat down at the beautiful baby grand piano in the lounge of the St. Regis Hotel in Detroit where the band was staying, and played the most beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday" to Chris Squire that I've ever heard. I understand that keyboards were his "first" instrument, having come from a symphonic family. Trevor also went on to improvise some other music that evening, and I began to hope that someday he would take over the keys if only Steve Howe would return to the fold!
