I do remember that the show was a sellout, the performances fantastic and the atmosphere happy. Strangely, the things that stand out to me are the facts that Berlin was supposed to be the opener. They canceled. Up until showtime we had no idea who the opening band was to be. Even on the radio on the way over to the show (we had to drive from Fort Worth) no one had a clue. So when the lights went down we were delighted to see and hear the familiar Looney Tunes theme come on and see two extremely silly Bugs Bunny cartoons. The first being "El Toro"(I think) where Bugs tames the savage Bull a'la Chuck Jones and then "Hair Raising Hare" with the strange orange hairy monster. These two cartoons warmed up the audience so well that the show's energy was that much greater. I've never seen a better opening act.
