the show had been scheduled earlier, but was postponed due to a rabin pool injury. so it was appropriate to see a sign that said"we've been waiting for this nite to come".don't remember much, but it was a great show. my first time seeing tony kaye, and surprised that he had a solo spot.as a point of reference, the islanders were in the Stanley cup finals, and their last game was either the nite before or the nite after.haven't been back since.my 3rd and last time seeing yes at Nassau before departing for florida.

My first Yes Show ever...and first big time show ever...having no point of reference for other Yes shows, I remember long and loud ovations for almost every song, but especially for Squire's solo. It was so loud I think because this was the first time Yes was back in the area in 4 years, and there was a strange combination of classic Yes fans and "newbies" who treated every song like it was dance number. Owner got a Huge reaction..obviously, but so did all the numbers equally, I think it was the only time I saw as equal a reaction for new stuff as the old as Yes rocked the house like a combo 70's prog band and a Van Halen (Trevor our Eddie) band rolled into one. Calls for Steve Howe were quieted a good bit after Trevor showed his ability on YIND…..I'll never forget the look on his face as he was working through that. It was like "Hey I can do this see- check it out"......John Anderson - "Nassau Coliseum - we seem to go back a long way together" .... A couple in front of me sort of summarized what was going on with Yes at the time. Guy: Jeez I don’t know they used to play long songs. Gal: They are doing it to appeal to today’s crowd (Then after AYAI) Guy :Now that was ok…

I was new so everything seemed great..I could not believe how great Yes was live, and my ride with this band went from there and just got better. 22 times later "worth it every time"
