I think a very slightly more accurate (still not perfect) transcription of these two announcements might read:

before 'The Revealing Science Of God'
...Like to present 4 pieces of music, that make up our new album...

before 'The Remembering'
Thank you. Which leads us into side 2 which is titled 'The Remembering'. It seems that on a very [?totally?] based on the scriptures of the last 3,000 years. When in consideration man has been on this planet for a lot longer than you'll possibly ever know this century. So this is called 'The Remembering' of our situation.

Thanks for the back up Steve! R. North, by the time they got to Bloomington on March 5, "The Remembering" was dropped in favour of "Starship Trooper" for at least 11 shows, possibly more, until the end of the North American tour. Check our favourite Yes history site (this one) if you don't believe us.

Brad is correct. Somewhere midway during the tour Yes dropped the Remembering from all subsequent shows. On a few shows they also dropped the Ancient, but for the most part the last half of the tour of the US and Europe had only 3 of the Tales played.

First of all he said on subsequent shows Yes started playing only
portions of Tales. I wouldn't call dropping a couple of songs on ONLY FOUR shows out of FORTY THREE, playing only portions of Tales! And
there was a reason WHY on two of those shows. One was an afternoon
concert and the other the equipment trucks were late. I saw 5 of the
SUBSEQUENT concerts and Yes played ALL OF TALES at each one.

R. North, it is YOU who are wrong! It is a well known fact that sides were dropped, reinstated and dropped again throughout the tour.

Steve you are wrong. Yes performed all of "Tales" through the whole tour.

I remember the snowstorm and the late start to the show.
The promoter, Jim Koplick, made several announcements to let the audience know the band was en route from N.Y.C.
Once it got started, it was great to hear the entire CTTE album performed.
Although the "Tales" material was well played, the audience was obviously restless by the time side III began and shouts of "Starship Trooper" and "Perpetual Change" could be heard.
(I remember reading that, in subsequent shows on this tour, they started playing only portions of "Tales")
Myself and some friends made our way backstage after the show and were received warmly by members of the band and Brian Lane.
I actually have pictures of myself with Wakeman and Howe.
Howe was quite gracious and enjoyed talking about the woods of New England and health food.
Wakeman and Squire were sharing a dressing room and while we spoke with Rick, Chris was trying to get over a case of the stomach flu.
He was violently ill and we were surprised and impressed that he had been able to play through the night.
This was the 3rd time I'd seen YES and, as usual, I was impressed with just about everything: The playing, vocals, sound, visuals and overall energy of the band.

I was seated behind the stage, directly over the tunnel the Band used for stage entry and about 50 feet behind Steve Howe.

There was no warm-up act...and people were getting antsy since the Band hadn't shown up at the appointed hour. There was quite a snowstorm going on outside...

Finally, (it seemed like hours...) Yes took the stage. Jon apologized for the delay in starting the show and announced that they would not take an intermission between CTTE and TFTO sets. They then proceeded to blow us all away. Driving back to Worcester, MA that night at 2 AM in the snow is still one of the lasting memories of my formative years!
