Disclaimer: I've always thought of the Rabin-era Yes as its own unique, wonderful entity, and I love this version of the band as much as I love the "classic lineup" version of Yes.

This was a great show with a few surprises (I thought the encore, "Gimme Some Lovin" completely rocked)...a great performance on a beautiful evening, and a perfect set list, IMHO.

This was my first YES show. I was a huge fan of Yessongs and earlier the earlier material, so I went expecting the great instumentalization that Howe/Wakeman etc had given us. While I realized that Rabin and Kaye were not up to that caliber, they did ok for the material they played. This show was heavy on 90125 (for obvious reasons), and that album was getting huge airplay at the time, so the audience was really into it. The sound was very good, and Jon Anderson and Chris Squire were great on this night. I will say though, that everytime I glanced at Tony Kaye, I kept wishing he would morph into Ric Wakeman, but it didn't happen...sigh.

On later tours, I saw YES again several more times, and the thing that amazes me to this day is the purity of Jon Andersons voice. He is still amazing, in spite of his age.

This was my first YES concert. I was hooked and have seen yes in some form or another eleven times since. The last show being Nov 8th JONs solo show at the casino in verona NY.I am looking forward to the rescheduling of the more drama tour at the same venue. Scullman436

This was a sound performance by the band, but was very predictable...virtually the same show we had seen a few months earlier in Rochester. The addition of "Gimme Some Lovin'" was fun but a bit disconcerting...with so much great material to choose from, why play this song? We wouldn't see the band again until the Union tour, and were much happier with that show.
