I just became aware of this site today, so I immediately looked up this concert, which was the first YES show I attended. I was shocked to see no mention of the show being cancelled and rescheduled for the next day. I drove 60 miles after work, only to hear on the radio that it was postponed until the next day. Does that mean it actually took place on the 20th? Anyhow, it was a great show and I have seen them 3 more times in the ensuing years.

If my memory serves me correctly, tickets for this show only went on sale about 5 days before the concert. I remember attendance being very sparse because of this fact. Word from the radio had it that Yes booked this show last minute mainly because they wanted to road test their new light and stage show. Good thing they did. During Big Generator 2 large smokestacks emerged from behind the drum riser. I distinctly remember the one on the left apparently never became lodged correctly and began a slow but very steady wobbling motion. Back and forth it went through the entire song in a Spinal Tap-esque prop mishap. The soundmix and performances were top-notch despite the prop blunder. I remember being particularly moved by "Final Eyes" which is still one of my favorite Yes songs. I also remember the thundering snare drum of Alan White in "Shoot High Aim Low".

'On The Silent Wings Of Freedom' is just the bass riff only. Squire played it for about a minute before going into 'Amazing Grace.'
