I was there. It was what turned me on to Yes. I was 14; my father was and still is a conductor for Amtrak, laying over from Ohio to PIttsburgh at the Bigelow hotel right across the street from the Civic arena. I had a buddy with me, we trekked around the city all day, had a great time.

With nothing else to do that evening, we noticed a Yes concert across the street. My mom bought us tickets- (eager to get us out of the hotel room for some time alone with dad?!?)- and the rest is history for me. We were in the rear floor. I remember the folks, genuine yes heads, and plenty of people with a lot of love for each other and the band. I bought Classic Yes the next day. I became and am still fixed on Yes. The remaining years of high school were pure Yes with my friends all immediately caught on to the great music I introduced them to. within days we colelctively had the entire collection, with Yesshows being the most popular. Expanded our minds.

Note for the above post: Johns comments must have been directed to the enourmous outpouring of Classic Yesheads. IT definitely must have been the "same," and I have never knocked trevor because that show was my first, and completely magical- I really never knew Yes until the MTV 90125 play.

I have the fondest memories of that show, and now I am 34, an attorney in chicago. It will always stick with me.

Good show, stood 13th row back. Jon acted very spacey that night - he had glittery eye make-up on I remember him repeatedly asking the crowd "Is it the same??" and some of us were confused. Was he referring to Trevor, who was bedecked in a black skin-tight leather outfit that looked like something the Scorpions might wear in concert?
