Yes, the show WAS postponed, but did happen... I was originally not able to attend but after the date was moved back I was able to go... Popeye cartoon as the opener LOL... Had to sit apart from my friends and was bummed until I discovered it was right behind Tony Kaye on an open stage!! not the greatest Yes but Big Generator has always been slammed for no reason... My first Yes show but not my last!!

This show was cancelled. Rabin got hurt, that is why. The show took place about 2 or 3 weeks later then the orig sched date. This was my first Yes show and I was so mad that if got pushed back.

I did not see this show, I saw the pittsburgh show (which was fantastic, even with Trevor) I clearly remember the opening cartoon being a popeye cartoon, not little rascals. the cartoon went on and on, we all wondered the significance...popeye getting his butt kicked in standard fashion, and then when he ate the spinach, and flexed his bicep, the image in his bicep was not an army tank, or anvil, but a Big Generator, rotating, cranking out power. Popeyes schtick was always something powerful in his bicep...

Yes this show did take place. If I recall it went off about 2 or 3 weeks after the cancelled date. It was my first show with Yes. I forgot that I gave my ticket for this one. Well, anyways, the show did happen.

An interesting aside about this show is that John Petric, reviewer for the Columbus Dispatch, was fired for plagirizing his "Yes preview story" for this concert from the Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock.

Musically it was pretty awful. I figured I would never see Yes again, since I thought Trevor would NEVER leave.

WRONG! This show was NOT cancelled! I have the ticket stub, tour program, AND a review of the show that was published in the local newspaper "The Dispatch" to prove it!!

There was no opening act and if memory serves me there was a video screen that showed an episode of "The Little Rascals" before the show started. My seats were not that great - Alan and most of his drums were completely obstructed by amplification equipment. There was quite a solo he did..I didn't see it but it sounded like at least 2 drummers playing at the same time. He never fails to amaze me. None of them do. Songs included:

Hold On
Big Generator
Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Starship Trooper
Your Move / All Good People
Yours Is No Disgrace
Heart Of The Sunrise
They all had there individual solos as well.

A typical great Yes show.

Yes, it was a lackluster show indeed and it came nowhere near close to selling out. There were many rows of empty seats in the back. The 2nd Yesshow in the Ohio Center, the first (90125) sold out in a matter of days.

Funny, Columbus had finally gotten big enough to host Yes again (2nd time since '74) and the show was bad enough (for me) to warrant not seeing them anymore.

Of course everything would change again the next year.

I don't how this show was cancelled cause I was there. The concert definitely happened. It was at the Ohio Center, they opened w/ Rhythm of Love.
