Like Mike's experience my friend Dan and I drove over to Indy from Dayton and were listening to WTUE when they announced the show had been cancelled. We decided what the hell let's see Indy and went to the old train station converted into a mall downtown and had some food. We happened upon a Spuds Mackenzie commercial shoot as well. May have been in the commercial, I don't remember. It was almost 30 years ago.

Coincidentally enough, I just saw Yes at the Colston Hall in Bristol. They played Drama and Fragile and a handful of other songs. It was good.

My friend Brett and I were on the way to Indianapolis from Purdue University in West Lafayette (Go Boilers!) that concert weekend. We were looking forward to a great show with excellent seats. We were crushed to hear that the show had been cancelled. I still remember being disappointed that the show was never rescheduled.

I was going to college in Albuquerque, NM at the time, but got a ticket to see YES there while I was home on Christmas break. It would have been a great seat. I left Albuquerque on that Friday night, took the red-eye from LAX to Indy, and arrived the morning of what should have been the show. I didn't find out about the cancellation until I got there (pre-WWW days). Can you imagine the disappointment? And at the time, there were no shows scheduled in the Albuquerque area.

But within a few days of returning, tickets went on sale for Albuquerue's Tingley Coliseum for 3/11/88. I had general admission floor seats, and I stood by the rail in front of Chris (and his runway)! I still think that was my favorite concert.
