My 8th, and probably least memorable show. I don't think it was as awful as another poster here. But it wasn't great. Off night. Muddy sound. Could have been the venue as far as the sound goes. Still....there were a couple great performances. I remember being a little saddened, because I loved the BG album. I guess the great show on this tour was Houston. That's where all the great boots come from anyway. Don't remember hating it or loving it. It's probably the only Yes show I wouldn't miss, if I hadn't gone. Wouldn't have changed anything but my show count.

It's the climactic part of Shoot High Aim Low just before the drum break. Meanwhile, Jon is struggling to be a multi-instrumentalist: he's trying to play chords on his keyboard with his right hand while doing the rhythm on tambourine in the left. He's failing miserably. When he concentrates on getting the timing right on the tambourine, he gets the chord changes wrong. When he concentrates on the chord changes he can't get any of the beats right on tambourine.

While I'm watching this, I'm cracking up, listening to the mess he's making sonically as well. Fortunately, the rest of the band's noise covers his keyboard up for the most part. But anyone could hear the poorly shaken tambourine and wonder what drunk fan is trying to play along with the band with his own smuggled-in percussion.

Alas, it's Jon...

Hopefully, by now, Jon has learned where his strengths lie.
