My third YES show, and you'd think this would have been the perfect lineup; and in-the-round, no less. I'm not saying it wasn't a great show, but it felt like something was missing from the performance. Noteably, it seemed that from my perspective that Steve Howe and Trevor Rabin did not want to come together as guitar partners; as if they were making a point of competing with each other. Also, I don't thing the UNION album was their biggest high point.

The UNION tour seemed to me like a great idea on paper, but it was not, in my opinion, the best time for YES.

I was just remembering a show I saw during the Union Tour when I "crazed" fan ran full speed at the stage, over the heads of some incredibly large steroid pumping security guards, and landed on the stage next to Jon. I guess Jon, waved the guards off, because the guy was dancing around with Jon and even joined hands with him!

I was at that show as well and definately do remember this [crazed fan rushing the stage] happening. It happened during the Roundabout encore and Jon lifted this guys arm up as if declaring him the winner of a heavyweight title bout.This show was in the round and he timed his rushing the stage perfectly. I also remember the security people dragging him off quite forcefully.

Yes triumphantly entered the Nassau Coliseum to a standing _ten_ minute ovation (I timed it!) We, the audience, expected what could only be delivered by this TOTAL YES group. And they provided a stellar performance. Yes was so in sync that the audience was hypnotized by the middle of Awaken. When we realized that we were under Yes' spell, the crowd broke out in smiles and spontaneous applause all over! The show ended with Yes being called back for three encores, with each one taking some time as the members had to work their way serpentine like through the crowd each time.
