the 4th, and last, time i ever saw Yes. i was 3rd row on the floor,too!!! there was someone one row ahead of me taping it; possibly the tape of this show floating around?? the taper was whining/lamenting to the person sitting next to him during the intermission that he arrived late & was walking thru the door when the show started. a small melee then ensued when the bouncers came running over & a bunch of people started jumping up &yelling at the taper "here they come!! PUT IT AWAY!!!" , but he wasnt ejected & all calmed down afterwards.

i remember that Trevor Rabin got a less than luke-warm response during his solo (jeers & whistling throughout), and the band pretty much got the same response to "Shock To The System" & all looked to eachother in horror at the end of that song.

even though this was 1991, there was MASSIVE ammounts of "potsmoke" in the arena & many a joint was passed around whenever a "classic" track was played. hell, i remember seeing Chris Squire walking back to the stage after one members solo; looking all puffy-faced, and then forcibly letting out a large billow of smoke from his lungs before climbing back on stage...seems the band & crowd were all on the same "wavelength" !!!!!

this was the only time ive ever seen them perform "awaken", ant what an event it was!!! 18+ minutes of pure bliss!!

i had 2 disappointments at this show, though. the sound wasnt very loud (i could hear people lightly talking during the music, and i WAS IN THE 3RD ROW!!!), but it WAS crystal clear like ive never heard another band ever... 2nd was "Long Distence~The Fish"...as the band segued into "The Fish" i was totally psyched to see Squire & Bruford perform together on this...well,almost. as the song got started, Bruford played the drums as the LP version goes, but Squire turned his back to him & was content to loosely jam with Alan. Bruford then quit playing & senslessly noodled on those horrid electronic drums in the background...ah well...

all in all, a GREAT show & the only time ive ever seen a line-up of what could be considered "Classic Yes".

...i still remember that guy repeatedly yelling for "The Revealing Science Of God" down in the front row!!!

This was the first and only time I experienced a Yesshow. Of the many concerts I've seen, this show remains one of my favorites. The band entered the arena floor to a standing ovation. Like conquering heroes returning home! They jumped up onto the revolving "In The Round" stage and tore into "Yours Is No Disgrace". Amazing!

If any tensions existed between band members, past and current, it was not at all evident. As certain songs from a particular period in the band's history were played, band members took their turn in coming and going from under the stage......pretty classy

Great to see so many talented musicians and performers on the same stage. A very good selection of new and old favorites from the Yes catalog.

Even though this was the tour of the dreadful Union album, I can safely say it was the best Yes concert (probably best concert period), I have ever seen. I never thought I would see Bill Bruford with Yes again and even though the ABWH concert was great, it was cool to see Bruford back in Yes playing alongside Chris Squire (his mortal enemy, it seems).

I had fifth row and the vantage point of the circular, revolving stage was amazing. I've never been to a concert where the crowd was more ecstatic. When the opening of "Awaken" started I was thinking "oh my God! There going to play Awaken, this is incredible". I looked around me and I shit you not, people all around were CRYING as soon as they started to play "Awaken". The crystal-like arms came down and engulfed the stage during the big climax of the song, I always think about it when I hear the song nowdays. My friend next to me had never heard "Awaken" but after the concert he raced out to get Going For The One and it became his favorite Yes album.

Trevor Rabin really didn't play much during the old tunes, which was fine by me! The Bruford/White duet drum solo painfully clarified how out-gunned White is by Bruford's playing. I was too young to see Yes in the 70's so for me this concert was as close to time travel as I'll ever get.....if only Genesis would do a re-union concert with Gabriel.
