This show was pure joy. I had only seen the Drama and 90125 tours, and finally, I was going to see the classic Yes members on stage together! Personnel were constantly changing on stage...I believe that classic Yes began Long Distance Runaround together, Chris soloed, and the 90125 Yes finished up The Fish. Looking at the setlist, I'm reminded how much I enjoyed Shock to the System...it was my favorite tune on Union, and was a potent song live. Awaken had my wife in tears...a completely unexpected song in the show...I remember her alternating between closing her eyes and singing, and watching the stage, trying to burn the visual of Yes playing one of her all-time favorites into her mind. The word on this tour was that it was a forced deal by the competing managements, but it wasn't reflected in the performance.

Jon sang "I forgot the words" In Long Distance Runaround.
I have noticed that in this tour the crowds went mad and they were screaming all the time so that you could hardly listen to "Owner of a Lonely Heart".
"Awaken" was a wonderful and mignificent surprise in this tour.

Regarding the Union tour at Miami Arena, the show was conceived and contribed with all the members playing a wide selection of all songs from all albums the highlights were watching individual members walk down off the stage into the understage area for solos of staged members no songs from Tormato and Relayer.

While Rabin was preparing to solo, Jon did this sort of rambling introduction while the rest of the band left for a break. Jon was carrying on about Trevor and how he values his guitars, how Trevor's guitars mean everything to him, while Trevor was climbing onto his seat getting ready. Then Jon casually approached Trevor as if to put his arm around him, but instead reached around him and unhooked his guitar strap, sending the guitar plummeting to the floor - BOOM! - and sending Trevor diving after it in panic. Then Jon lifted his arm high and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, Trevor Rabin!" while Trevor scrambled to set up again.
I had heard the Union tour was rife with practical jokes...

When I saw the Union tour last summer in Miami (6 July 91), Jon mentioned before "I've Seen All Good People" that the song was being recorded, live.
