The only time I saw Yes twice in promotion of the same album. The Hartford show (4/18) might've been the best I've ever seen. This summer show was different in several ways: it was outdoors rather than "in-the-round," they played "Saving My Love" (not one of my faves) instead of "Hold On," and Bruford danced around the stage during "Owner of a Lonely Heart" with a non-western percussion instrument.

Overall an enjoyable show.

I remember that they passed out questionaires at the show! Yes they did...The questions were in regard to the upcoming release of the Boxed set (released: August 6, 1991). Some of the questions asked were: What would you like to see on the boxed set (live materials, unreleased tracks, etc.)? I found it to be pretty odd since the four CD set was to be released only a month later.

I remember that Steve Howe was almost a backup guitarist for this show. It was an awful concert. I have seen Yes around 60-70 times and this was just about the worst.

I was on the lawn for this show, but that didn't matter -- it was grand to see this orchestra plow through some really difficult material, that I would have never dreamt of seeing. The only low point was security busting a bunch of joint salesmen during the organ/harp part of "Awaken". The rumour of "Sweet Dreams" kept me through the encores, but alas.

As far as the "Sweet Dreams" rumor, I don't remember the source. I was pretty bummed when they didn't play it, but I didn't expect "Awaken" either!!!

I watched Yes perform at Great Woods, MA. Jon Anderson frequently fills the gaps between songs with rambling monologues that, between concert acoustics and his own soft voice, are completely inaudible.
