My first Yes gig. I don't think "The Yes Album" had been released yet but Steve had joined , and I remember "America" was the highlight for me. As far as I recall, this was a "Tech Dance", promoted by the local Technical College, with a disco downstairs in Scene 1 and Yes playing upstairs in Scene 2. This was not the usual Scarborough venue for theis kind of event. The Tech. Colllege usually used "The Candlelight", booking bands like Free and Taste, and Yes had already played twice at "The Penthouse" where Thursday night was "Progressive Night"(!)- Free also played there, and King Crimson, Matthews' Southern Comfort and Family, amongst others. Those were the days....!
