As far as I can tell, this was the only gig Yes ever did where not a single wrong note was played! The audience was totally silent throughout the show. I found this to be especially unusual for a New York crowd. It was also interesting seeing a show without any lights or sound system. A new experience: Yes in a vacuum!
I have the bootleg tape if anyone is interested. It's called "YES HISS" for 2 reasons, both of which should be obvious! ;-) I'll only trade this ultimate rarity for blank tapes! :-)"

A friend called me last night and said that YES (original members including Rick Wakeman) will tour. He said that they are playing the Beacon Theater June 17th & 18th. Is this true? The Beacon is THE PLACE to see a show.

My friend called me tonite, said he'd heard on WNEW-FM nyc that YES are scheduled to appear @ the Beacon sometime in June. Is this true? Has *anyone* firm detailzz on this???? Pleeaaaaasssse help! I thought things were falling apart. Perhaps they're not.

I have no idea if they'll show, but they are scheduled to appear at the Beacon the 17th/18th of June. Tickets went on sale this morning (4-14-97)

Tickets for the Beacon theater concerts June 17th, and 18th are going on sale today for only $15.00.
Now that's a great price. But it would really stink if I show up at the beacon with my ticket only to find out Yes isn't playing there.

Actually, the true kick in the head is that they cancelled it YESTERDAY. I bought my tickets before I went to work and by lunch the radio (WNEW, I think) was saying that they thought the concert was off - they finally said it was off 'round 3pm (and I'd gotten up early to get tickets too! - geez eh, what a dimtwit!)

Yes, the seats at the Beacon are real. Yes, the tickets you have are real. Unfortunately, when you go to the Beacon that night and sit in your real seats, there will be no band playing in front of you. However, if the seats are REAL good, you might want to ask yourself, "Are good seats with NO band better than BAD seats WITH the band?" Before you answer yourself, consider that since NOBODY ELSE WILL BE THERE THAT NIGHT, you can probably get EVEN BETTER SEATS at NO EXTRA CHARGE !!!!! How can you miss it now?

At 32 years of age and just beginning to get around again after a long time spine injury I can't tell you how excited I was not only to finally get a chance to see a Yes show but having waited hours to get front row center orchestra seats at the Beacon Theater.
Today I get the incredible devasting news that the shows in NY have been canceled. I hope the band stays together. However, honestly the immaturity the band shows in stringing along fans has got to stop.
