Yes was second bill on this show. The headliner was Black Sabbath! I was playing drums in a garage band; into Grand Funk, Zep, Sabbath, etc. I had never even heard of Yes before. When Yes came on, I was totally blown away. Rick Wakeman was wearing his silver cape, and they were wearing heavy make-up. I remember thinking to mice elf, "These guys are from another f**king planet!" It was the first time I had heard musicians of that caliber. That night changed my life. When Sabbath came on, It was a joke. I remember thinking how pitiful Ozzy looked (and sounded) to me.
