That was my first concert, ever! Crazy Horse were awesome...I thought it was Neil Young with them!
After a stage break, the whole gym went dark. People thought the power was out.......After a few minutes, Rick Wakeman started playing eerie spacey synthesized music, which turned into an elaborate solo that lasted quite some time. I don't remember what the first song was, but after listening to the organ and Moog...The lights came on suddenly and they burst into I think, Long Distance Run Around!!

I attended this concert in 72, not ever having heard of Yes. Having no ticket I went from York, PA, with two friends and we were able to buy them at the door. For some reason (probably a logistical screw-up) we ended up getting into the fieldhouse first. They had mats placed over the floor and we had seats dead center in the middle of the floor. The Yes part of the concert was produced in quadraphonic sound. We had prime location. We could see and hear all the players excellently. I distinctly remember Chris Squire wearing hip-high musketeer boots. The mix of the concert was terrific. All parts were crystal clear and Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe were amazing. I know Steve performed "The Clap". Jon Anderson's distinctive voice was unbelievable and the harmonies were tight. I think that they did almost all of the material from "The Yes Album" and "Fragile", I was struck by the seemingly independent soloing of each member and how their themes all blended and came together into something greater than the parts, a "Yes" trademark. I recently saw the Montreux 2003 concert on DVD and it was very much like what I experienced that night except there was no gray hair. Crazy Horse was very good, they finished their set with "Cinnamon Girl." I think Nils Lofgren was with them. One of the best concerts I've ever seen, and it occurred in the little Pennsylvania town of Shippensburg.

The show was at Shippensburg University. The concert was in the gym. The seating was amazing. We sat directly on the floor (No Chairs). Crazy Horse was pretty good. It would have been great if Neil Young was still with them. Yes was fantastic.

I remember it was my first Yes concert. The openning band was Crazy Horse. Unfortunately, my memory is not good enough to remember the entire set list.
