This was incredible. I thought MASTERWORKS couldn't be topped. Then they did the YES SYMPHONIC tour. Thinking the SYMPHONIC tour was the ultimate Yes experience, what could they possibly do to match that? They got Rick back! And it was like 1979 all over again - almost. Close enough! What could have made this show the best Yes concert I've ever seen? If Howe had played MOOD FOR A DAY instead of LEAVES OF GREEN. And if they would have added CLOSE TO THE EDGE, AND YOU AND I (the complete full band version) and STARSHIP TROOPER to the set. But I'm not complaining. This show made me very happy!!!!

I hadn't seen YES in over 20 yrs. but the return of Wakeman got me inspired. We ended up getting 4th row seats in front of Steve Howe and I was totally blown away. These guys have gotten better with age. I questioned last year why they would need an orchestra and the answer is they don't....just bring back Wakeman....he is an orchestra. Anderson's voice was flawless, White cooked all night long, Squire shook the earth, and Steve Howe was a man possessed. They were all on fire. This band can take you on a musical journey like no other. I can only wish that the band will continue to have fun and continue this musical journey together for many years to come.

the last time I saw yes was 1976. they were by far better this time around. I was totally inspired.Thanks for everything, you guys are magnificent!

Thank you fellow Yes fans for the reviews and comments....it does my heart good to hear that the show that I will see this thurs. at the tweeter ctr. will be as awe inspirering as some of the other shows i've seen in the past 30+ years.....

I won't rehash what my fellow reviewers have already stated, I'll simply say that I was knocked out yet again by this band. This was my ninth Yes show, (and I do count ABWH, sorry chris). In the last few years as tour dates were announced I would become less enthused. These guys are gettin old, the new material is cool but not like in their prime, yadda yadda yadda. You've probably heard all this shit from Yes fans before. But when I do make a show, it's like my first experience all over again.
So, thank you boys, thank you. And welcome back, Rick, hope you hang around for a while this time.
P.S. It took eighteen years but I finally got to hear them perform "South Side of the Sky!"

Yes put on a truly magnificent performance last night. I have been a fan since the beginning but hadn't seen them in concert in almost 30 years (the Yessongs tour). It was very heartening to an old guy like me to see that Yes's level of musicianship and cosmic spirituality are still there. Wonderful.

Awsome!!! A truly amazing performance. John's vocals are holding up very well, even after all these years. Only at the end did it get a little rough. Steve, Chris and Alan are the best musicians i've heard in a very long time. They were all simply phenominal. And what a treat to see Rick back with the band. He centainly hasn't lost a step. The set list was a suprise as well. Good to hear some of the more obscure pieces, although we had hoped for a CTTE. I really liked the new stuff, especially the one John did solo. The place wasn't full, but I was suprised to see so many younger people there. A good crowd, they new when to be quiet for the more subtle parts (like during the keyboard part of 'We Have Heaven'). All in all a vey enjoyable evening. Now I need to find a copy of it. The only downer was the rain before the show that put a damper on tailgating>
C'est la vie! Thanks guy's. Come back real soon!!!

You all blew me away last night. Inspired lineup but I love everyone of your classic songs so I could have listened contentedly at least another two or three days trying to decide which one was my favorite.
What can I say...I knew that I would love the show and I did.

Only my third Yes show, and my first of the classic lineup. The Tweeter Center was as empty as I've ever seen it before. Large sections of empty seats in the upper pavillion and almost no one was up on the lawn. I didn't see anyone selling tickets on the way in. I pulled a pair of sec 2 (front center section) at 1:30 from TM, so I wasn't really looking.

I have to admit, that much of the setlist was unfamiliar to me. However I loved the format of the show. The light show and stage set was minimal. The band comes out and play long extended versions of every song. This is not a show for the faint of heart. Very non-commercial with extended jams. And the band sounded great. The sound was a bit thin at first, but it picked up as the show progressed.

I also found a fair amount of comic value at this show. Chris Squire has a wind machine near his mic, so his hair blows in the wind as he sings. Steve's guitar tech is pretty funny too. He has to run out to take care of all of the crazy instrument changes. At one point he bring Steve a stool, which Steve sits on for about three minutes, then it is just as quickly plucked off the stage. Jon managed to get his guitar cord stuck on the guitar stand, and no one came to his rescue as he struggled to untangle it between verses.

But the best comedy was by far in the audience. It is quite the geek fest (myself included). There were a couple of cute girls a few rows in front of me that wanted to dance the whole show. It was interesting to see the forty somethings sitting behind them yell at them to sit. I guess they wanted to look at Steve. Guys fawned over their tour programs and $30 plus dollar t-shirts. And when I decided to make my pit stop (during Steve's first solo number) it was amazing how many guys had the same idea but were running past me so they would not miss too much of the show.

I'd highly recommend this show. These guys play hard for three hours and indulge themselves in the style of music that Yes is famous for. Just don't go expecting to hear a greatest hits show.
