T'was a great evening, even if the weather didn't cooperate and shortened the show. I think the band was really appreciative of the crowd hanging throught the rain. We were sitting right in from of the sound board and helped the crew keep everything dry during the rain break.

Here's the set list as best as I've been able to reconstruct. Based on the previous nights' lists, it appears we misssed the solos and, obviously, the end of The Revealing Science of God (a real pity - my favorite side from TFTO but what they did play was terrific).

What a blast seeing Wakeman back witht he rest of the band. Much as I enjoyed Igor on the MasterWorks Tour, there's no substitute for the real thing!

Well, we in this part of the country have been needing rain all summer to help put out the fires and we got it during the middle of Yes' concert last night. Might not have been so bad except that the wind was blowing it under the tarp over the stage and onto Steve and his equipment. So almost half way into TRSOG, the band had to take cover. They returned about 25 or so minutes later, but I'm sure they thought the rain would be back and cut the show down considerably. We missed out on the rest of TRSOG of course, but they also cut out the solo's and Magnification.

I thought that what they did play was played very well. Steve was very active and played with a lot of enthusiasm. He became very nervous when all his equipment was getting wet and was obviously wanting to get off the stage. But when they came back, they all gave a great show. Skipping the solos gave Chris the chance to say "that was a song about a mammal, this is song about waking up" and they went into Awaken. When they came out and played YIND, I figured the show was over. And sure enough, the house lights went up afterward, but no one budged and the cheering got louder and louder until they came out and played Roundabout to finish it off. They seemed to give it a little extra realizing they were cutting the show so short.

I was very disappointed to miss out on what had to be 40 or more minutes of the show, but I think the band tried to give it their best under the circumstances and played a great show. I really missed hearing Chris play the Silent Wings part of his solo as I've wanted to hear that again for almost 25 years now, but I think they wanted to make sure and get the major songs covered before the rain hit again.
