I came Back to Vegas to see the Stones at MGM on 11/30/02,(which I bought six months ago) B.B. King at Stardust on 12/01/02. When I heard that Yes was playing the joint & The Doors at the Palms on 12/08/02 ( change it to 1/19/03), I decided to extend my visit longer, too see the show!! Yes was full of engery that night. They weren't even using the house speakers, they were using these speakers, that made them ROCK!!!! Jon was asking the crowd do you smell the the margijuania??? Rick was giving high five's too Alan & Chris. Steve was on fire...fire!!!!Even though it wasn't sold out, They played as if they were back in 70's Stadium style. Totally classic YES night. I think the smell of dope distract Jon. Their were a couple times, that Jon forgot words. Don't worry,... the crowd would come in fix it. In the end, YES kick some ass!!!
long live YES!!!!!!

Ah... The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas! Nice venue!
It was a good show, if you don't count all the MORONS. (Hey - shut the f$%& up why don't you. Show some respect if you love the band. We came here to hear YES, not you. Jeeze.)
Sorry - a bit curmudgeonly this evening.
The whole band looked kind of tired, as though they'd just got off the plane.
Siberian Khatru started slowly, and never came together - was it the sound mix? Timing? Hard to say. Jon was wearing a bandage on his hand but he took it off at the end of this song. Perhaps all his banging on the tamborine loosened it up.
Magnification next, segued into Don't Kill The Whale. Nice versions, both of them. The band is very together.
Now In The Presence Of. I like the ending of this but they take so long to get there. It's not my favorite track.
What was next? We Have Heaven followed by South Side of the Sky. Nice, tight versions. The sound man had got his act together by now, it was sounding good if you don't count the MORONS (see above.)
Then Steve's solo - some finger pickin' on the steel string: a piece from Natural Timbre and Ram (this is a great peice - he should play it more often.)
Clearly the audience was full of Howe fans tonight.
Then a 10 minute intermission.
Jon came back and did Show Me - was he on painkillers or something? More high and upbeat than usual.
Then Rick played a solo spot consisting of 16 bars from all six wives and some king arthur.
The band comes back for Heart of the Sunrise, Rick is burning on this one.
Almost straight into Long Distance Runaround followed by The Fish (including Silent Wings excerpt- why oh why won't they play this track in its completeness?)
I think I'm missing another song here somewhere.
Awaken (kind of so-so version I think) and then Starship Trooper for the encore.
