Jim Dockens I think this is the show I saw, except the Eagles and Edgar Winter didn't open. It was, of all people, Danny O'Keefe (Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues). This was back in the days of "Festival" seating, so half of the concert experience was going down the the paramount with a bunch of friends early to get a good position in line and spend all day hanging out in front of the Paramount, wandering around downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill, etc. I think I was 2nd or 3rd row for this baby. Great show in a great venue. I saw them again in '75 at the Coluseum and while the show now feature the big Roger Dean sets, it had lost the intimate feel of the Paramount. Plus Wakeman was gone by then. |
