I just bought an RoIO of the show. The sound quality is what you'd expect of a bootleg. You can hear people talking in the audience (a common occurrence, and maybe karma). Whoever made it must've come in late because s/he started recording at the tail end of "Going for the One". Nobody's perfect. I have the official DVD of this tour, as well as a VoIO, but I needed something of a show I actually went to because I can't fully remember a show after I see it. It makes the moment and money seem wasted. This helps having it preserved, though not an official release. I hope someone does make one of the show I'll be going to, though we really shouldn't be making and buying bootlegs. Most venues forbid small tape machines and cameras inside. I do remember Jon saying that America is still a great place to live introducing that song. He didn't mention where they were, though they've been here several times with as many lineups, but it's usually major cities they remember better.

It was a great show, with nothing but olde stuff played...Dream Theatre played a strong opening set, including tackling a section of Machine Messiah, but I always find it painful to listen to those kinds of groups that have the metal 'castrato' singers.
Great new stage setup, like an inflatable version of the 70s Dean brothers setup of '76; Awaken was quite the highlight, and the band did not disappoint!!

This is the show I went to. It cost a few pennies, but worth every one.
Dream Theatre played first. I was late getting there as they still did their half, but they did "Machine Messiah" knowing Yes won't do it anymore, which pleased the diehards.
Because of time restrictions, only '70s material was performed. I can remember which songs were in the set by their original release; from "Sweet Dreams" to "Don't Kill the Whale". I had a ton of stuff to be signed, but there was no meet and greet that I knew of.
I just hope they come back, though Rick Wakeman won't this year.

WOW! What a fantastic show! Apparently, Yes has had enough of the "unplugged" section, they 86ed it entirely for the first time in GOD knows how many shows! And you know what? It was liberating to just have a plain old YESSHOW with just SONGS, done just as they are with no acoustified twist! The show started familiarly enough: GFTO was soaring, majestic... SWEET DREAMS (!) (my FOURTH time this year seeing this song, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???) just gets better and better and better and better... what a kind, good-vibe affirmation this song is, I could hear it again and again and again... (hope to). ALL GOOD PEOPLE and no technical glitches... Rick's been playing this song very Tony Kaye-like, it's nice to hear all the stock parts played so flawlessly. Such nice vintage keyboard sounds on this tour, just the way I like it! Steve aced it, nice and loud, really relishing his parts, varying little details, mixing it up. AMERICA (VERY jamming version!) and DON'T KILL THE WHALE (The MOST RECENT song of the night from Tormato '78! ALL songs played tonight were from the 70s[!]) were a departure from the London Ontario and Niagara Falls shows. Way to shake up the setlist guys! No CTTE, But YOURS IS NO DISGRACE made an earlier appearence in the show and rocked easily as hard as the Niagara Falls version, perhaps harder, due to Steve turning up his guitar volume righteously. I might add at this point that I really must commend the ROCKIN' crowd at the New York State Fair because NOBODY had even SIT DOWN up to this point in the show! Everybody was UP and ROCKIN'! And many of you know what I'm talking about: you know, the SIT DOWN crowd, the couch potato variety. It was nice to see people up and rocking and DANCING! AND YOU AND I followed, and was mellow, so many people actually did sit down. That was when the tide suddenly began turning in favor of the sedentary and thinks-everyone-ELSE-must-be-sedentary variety. AWAKEN continued the sitting down trend and was amazing enough to make one want to sit down and take heed of the awesome musical virtuosity being displayed. Had to jump up and down and wave my arms in the air at the peak though (sorry potato bugs!) AWAKEN is such a spiritual experience, such a magical transformational journey, there is NO OTHER BAND who can even dream of pulling a piece such as this OFF. Name ONE, I dare ya. Anyway, the couch potatoes were s*** outa luck when the band launched into a flawless STARSHIP TROUPER, the dancers ascended triumpantly to their feet, potatoes be damned. It's a frickin' ROCK CONCERT, DUDE! the hippy was heard to exclaim. ROUNDABOUT returned to its Classic Yes encore slot. And as the lyrics state "the music DANCE and sing, they make the children really ring..." and so if the person in front of you is moved to stand up and cheer and clap and dance almost as if it's a rock concert or something--- maybe, just maybe, you should get the hell UP of your FAT ass and frickin, DANCE, brother! Don't be such a KILLJOY! It's amazing that although MOST of the audience was up rockin' for most of the show, it only took one or two JERKY couch potatoes to make a bad vibe. There is NO LAW that says an audience member EVER has to sit down, so get over it. ROUNDABOUT was totally fantastic, nice to hear Steve play those old familiar harmonics again. Now WHEN are we gonna hear the "Along the Drifting Clouds..." section? Boys? Could we perhaps work that section up? Jon-boy could go sit at his little kit and hit those Brufordian African cowbell polyrhythms. That's right up Alan's alley, too. Chris and Steve can lock into that fat heavy riff they do there, while Rick does that Chinese Hammond riff that we all love so well. It's really like the BEST part of the whole tune, guys, why must you cut it out? "The Eagle's DANCING wings create as weather spins out of hand" how could someone write lyrics THAT INTENSE and then CUT them out of the song; self-censorship? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
