Steve, I love ya, always have since I first saw you in 1978 in Detroit, but dude, get a new shirt! I'm looking at all the posts... the youtube vids, and it's the same shirt!

Even my son said.... yup, same shirt he wore in Detroit last week.

BTW, you're my favorite guitarist of all time.

Great show. These guys still rock, although I was a bit overwhelmed at how old Steve looks. I think he needs to cut the hair! Otherwise, he still has some amazing chops. Wow. Starship Trooper was worth the trip for me, even with the scary drive back home in some nasty weather. I thought they really nailed Close to the Edge. I am glad they did not do anything beyond 1980. I love the Trevor Rabin years (this is what got me started as a Yes fan...I was 13 when 90125 came out)but, it was great to see Howe, White, and Squire play what I am assuming are some of their favorites. Squire cracks me up. Oliver's stoicism reminded me a bit of his dad's. I thought he was good/competent, but not great. He did what he was asked to do and that was play solid keyboard on some really, really difficult songs. Could not ask for more. Benoit David is the love child of Jon Anderson. At times it was scary how much he sounded like him. The only thing that makes me sad is to look around at a more than half empty venue knowing that so many people out there have no clue who these guys are and could care less about some of the finest progressive rock ever done. Back in the 70's, these guys were filling huge arenas playing the very same stuff. Yes, there is some great stuff out these days (Porcupine Tree comes to mind), but you have to admit that they don't write 'em like that anymore! Anyway, I am glad I got to see them again. It was worth it.

First Yesshow.......... It was unforgettable. There was a lot of energy of stage. (except for Oliver, but I think his stoicism is epic in its own right) The music was of course superb. I wish they would have played some from GFTO but whatever, I was stuck in a smile during all of Close to the Edge. I would definitely go again if given the chance!

First of all, Benoit David knocked the ball out of the park! This guy was fantastic. You can tell he's a huge fan of the music and willing to try anything from the band's catalog. He was really into it, dancing and working the tambourine, and his vocals were just stellar. As many people have noted, Oliver Wakeman seems a bit stone faced, but he did a good job. Chris, Alan and Steve all seemed to be enjoying themselves, particularly on songs they haven't played for a while.

I don't know what the attendance was, but I'm guessing there were less than 1,000 people there. Chris said, "well, this is quite an intimate gathering for a Sunday evening; Glad you could all make it."

There was no intermission at this show. Steve's solo was right after Close To The Edge, and after Steve's solo, they went right into And You And I.

If you're having any doubts about seeing this tour, just go see it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Two thumbs way up!

Well, it was weird. I wasn't going to go, but I couldn't pass it up. They normally don't play so close to me. The vocals were a bit funky during the first song, Siberian Khatru, but they got better. Benoit David was, I must admit, very good. Oliver Wakeman was pretty boring and stiff. I enjoyed hearing the Drama songs, something I haven't seen at my other shows. I was hoping for a TFTO song, but I know that's a lot to ask for. All in all, it was a good show. I never got over the fact that Jon wasn't there, but I enjoyed myself. Oh, and I took my mom, and she had fun.
