I've been a Yesfan since the first time I heard Roundabout on the radio in 1972. The following year I saw them live for the first time in Columbia SC at the Carolina Coliseum. Also on the same ticket as opening acts,Gentle Giant and a little known band from California, The Eagles. Everytime my favorite band of all time is anywhere from here to Atlanta, I'm there. I have to say that this concert at the HOB, was one of the best I have ever been to. The sound was great! Good job soundman. Benoit, and Oliver were fantastic. Steve,there's no one like him, Alan, great solo, in a powerful way, and Chris, no on can play a Rickenbacker like the fish. Everyone was so receptive of the band, smiles on all faces, singing along, clapping,it was wonderful. I missed Jon, but Benoit, he gracefully filled in and did a great job. I can't wait for the next tour!

This is the first chance that I have gotten a post a review of Saturday nights show at HOB in Myrtle Beach. The show was Outstanding. The mixing was perfect for the size of the venue

First the complaints, which there were few. The ceiling of the venue was not high enough for the Roger Dean set. To bad too, because the set looks awesome on You-Tube.

My only other complaint was the shortened set list. I would have liked to have heard Parallels and Soon, but everything played was excellent.

I think Beniot David did a very good job. Oliver Wakeman was very workman like. Not as flash as his dad, but I thought he sounded good. Both new comers did an excellent job on CTTE, which is no easy feat.

Alan was in fine form. His drum solo during Astral Traveler was very cool.

Chris was super. The bass solo for Fish was one of his better one's and his new song, Aliens, was really good and highlighted Oliver and Beniot.

I don't know what to say about Steve. He was phenomenal as usual. He was really rocking out. I bought Steve’s cd "Motif" after the show and really am enjoying it.

The Drama songs were a highlight of the night. The standards were excellent with the best being the CTTE cuts. Wish they had played more from Fragile, but otherwise I was very satisfied. I can not wait until their next tour.

Incredible show. I was worried that the crowd would be too rowdy for Steve, but he seemed to be in a good mood. The sound was mixed very well for the venue and Oliver and Benoit did very well. I went to the after-show and heard Alan White saying that Asia would open for Yes in 2009. He told us that he jokingly said to Steve... "One thing's for sure. You're not getting payed twice." Chris had a great time on the encore. I'm actually thankful they cut the encore short--I was never a fan of "Owner of a Lonely Heart."

Both tonight and the night before, Chris has introduced Oliver and Benoit as the "newest members of the band." Interesting word choice, for sure. Perhaps "Aliens" is a sign of more creative work to come from the the group as it is. I hope Jon comes back, but after meeting Benoit, I really appreciate him a lot more.

It has to be said--Oliver and Benoit are both very humble for their positions. There has been a lot of backlash against them for their joining, but keep in mind: they are Yesfans too.

Great show. Couldn't stop smiling when they played And You and I.

Great show. The band played smoothly and w/ enthusiasm, sounding and looking great all night. And the audience was really into it for the whole show. Oliver & Benoit both sounded great, and were fully accepted by the crowd. Really nice to hear the 2 Drama songs, Astral Traveller, and Onward for the first time (this was my 21st yesshow, spanning every US tour since 1984). 'Aliens' was a nice addition as well. Too bad Parallels has been dropped, as I hadn't seen that live before either, but I'm not complaining. All the classics (especially AYAI & CttE) were brilliant, and I enjoyed them as if hearing them for the first time.

Wishing Jon a speedy return to health, but Benoit is filling in admirably in the meantime.

Thanks for giving me my Yes fix after a 4 year hiatus!

Just saw the show at the House Of Blues N.Myrtle Beach and it was incredible. Benoit was outstanding. Deffinatly missed Jon, but Benoit is certainly the next best thing.

I have been a YES fan since I was eleven and bought my first LP which happened to be FRAGILE. 3500 LPs/CDs later and FRAGILE remains one of my all time favorites. It is great to finally see the band, at small venue, near my home in Charleston (still a ninety minute drive). The next time you guys tour, line up the North Charleston Coliseum and you'll make my day.

The set list looks great, though if I could make a request, I would love to see the band go back to doing Heart of The Sunrise and South Side, dump Owner and Aliens (sorry Chris).

I am just counting the days now until YES arrives in Myrtle Beach. I will write a review after the show.
