This was me and my pal Dave's first ever gig and our collective memory isn't what it once was but I think the support band were Gary Wright's Wonderwheel?

I can still visualise it. I was 16 and it was my 3rd gig ever. I had just discovered Fragile & Close to the Edge. I managed to get right to the front of the stage. I was so Close to the Edge I could even reach out and touch Steve Howes array of pedals. I'm sure Alan Whiite had a green double bass kit. Am I right? One of the best moments for me was Rick's solo. The Haleluia Chorus on his Mellotrons was excellent, and not to forget Chris's thundering Rickenbacker as he strutted across the stage, topped off by Jon's brilliant vocals.

Just to keep the record straight. This was actually Alan White's
25th show with Yes as he did all of the North American shows that
summer.

Bob Bell

Jon Anderson did compliment the Glasgow audience about being the first to clap in time. Rick Wakeman also shocked everyone by coming on stage to check his gear, set up his "moog" and talk to folk before the lights went down.

This was only Alan Whites second ever live gig with Yes ( I think he played the Rainbow on the Saturday!!)and he was tremendous. Bill Bruford still rates high for his previous performances!!

I was at this concert (I was 15 at the time) and it was the most wonderful event. The support were the Strawbs - what a bonus! I had met Steve Howe in the street earlier that day (almost fainted) and he signed autographs for me and my friend.
It's my favourite memory, thank you Yes.
