The concert in Bamberg was a real great event. The trio of Alan, Steve and Chris is in best form, the singing of Chris and his bass-style are still so impressing, Alan`s drum sound is so great and Steve`s performance is really state to the art. The new members are on a very good way: Oliver is playing very tastefully and is a very sensitve and sympatic person, David sings great, he is a complete other musician than Jon, he can sing in the same region like Jon, but sometimes he sings with less boddy. Some songs he performs surprisingly well like HOTS, with Your Move he can defenitvly not transport the message like Jon. I think, the most important step is now, that the band record a new album and David and Oliver can than perform their own stuff. After this great concert i´m looking really forward to a new album and the future of this special group.

I'm 37 years of age. I saw Yes in 1997 during the Open Your Eyes Tour and in 2000 during the Ladder Tour. This time they were superb in every category: Musicianship, spirit, even humor. The sound in the Jako-Arena was fantastic. I never saw Steve Howe that relaxed even celebrating the Hard Rock touch of Owner of a Lonely Heart (although by the traditional fan Trevor Rabin is regarded as the Yes "devil", for the youngsters it's a good idea not to exclude that period). Chris Squire seemed to enjoy the new outfit hammering his Rickenbacker with virtuosity. His charismatic voice is really significant for the Yes sound. The polyphonic middle section of South Side of the Sky (best Yes song!) sounded crystal clear. I don't think that Jon Anderson is capable of extensive touring. So why not enjoying the new singer? David Benoît brings freshness to the Yes crowd. If he gets the time he deserves the future of Yes with older/younger members looks bright.

It was a great concert- YES at their best. Especially the old members are unbelievable young and perfect as known. David Benoit did his job very well, even liver Wakeman, but he was a little bit unemontional, so you didn´t know if he likes the show too. Alltogether a perfect concertnight, with a very good selection of Yessongs- for every fan a must
