Rhomea
will write more tomorrow but here is the complete set list and my initial thoughts.
The live show started at 20:06 and the encore ended at approximately 22:05-15. It was a packed house of 2500 fans from the hard core (like myself at 25+ shows since 1971) to YES show virgins. Many parents had brought their children - a wondrous gift!!!
The show was, in a word, magnificent. At the age of 62, Howe's continued ability to play flawlessly some of the most demanding guitar work ever written, and at virtuoso levels, for 2 hours is nothing short of amazing.
Squire proved once again why any conversation about the greatest electric bass quitarists starts and ends with him. Alan White was Alan White (who is extremely talented but still not Bill Bruford or Terry Bozzio) - that is to say he acquitted himself fabulously and worked the skins in tandem with Squire's driving melodic bass work, but IMHO Alan remains the driveshaft- not the engine - that propels YES in its current state. That V-12 500 bhp monster is Chris Squire.
Bothe CS and SH received standing ovations at the end of a few different songs from a wildly enthusiastic Parisian crowd.
Oliver Wakeman was proficient if not great (yet) but a bit too wooden - and it is no insult to say that he merely kept up with Howe. My biggest surprise (Howe & Squire's talents are never a surprise to me) was Benoit David, he repeated the problem he had in Belgium last night during Siberian Khatru and ISAGP: a couple of cracked or missed notes at the upper registers,
No surprise there either - I am a singer and those notes are EVIL. However, by the time he got to AYAI & Yours Is No disgrace, Benoit really found his comfort zone and really started to sing. Very well. As a matter of fact, he was stunningly good in Heart of the Sunrise, which presents some of the most difficult vocalizations in any YES song. He nailed the last refrain so well I thought perhaps Jon Anderson was backstage with a mic.
All in all, it is always a treat to hear the spectacular music of YES played live by two of the world's greatest string men and in a small hall with great sound. Let's all join in wishing Steve, Alan and Chris a long, happy life on stage... so we can hear it again and again.

En fran็ais cette fois: Quel grand plaisir de revoir Yes 5 ans apr่s leur dernier passage parisien au Z้nith(show grandiose),j'้tais tr่s excit้ et impatient de voir ce concert m๊me si j'avais quelques craintes, qui ont heureusement disparues 2minutes apr่s l'ouverture du spectacle: -Alan White, aussi bon qu'avant,m'a surpit,de par sa puissance et sa grande finesse,Du tr่s grand jeu ce soir je dois l'avouer -A part quelques fausses notes,et quelques petites paroles oubli้es,Benoit David เ fait un tr่s bon travail, particuli่rement sur And you and I,heart of the sunrise et Starship trooper -La set-list ้tait parfaite,si ce n'est l'absence de la pi่ce-ma๎tresse de yes:Close to the edge, que je n'ai jamais eu la chance d'entendre en vrai -Le son de l'Olympia ้tait super,tr่s rond, intime et surtout tr่s rock!

What a pleasure to see this band again,5 years after their last Parisian concert at le Z้nith(marvellous show).I was very excited and impatient to see this concert even so i had fear, but after 2minutes,at the begining of the show, there was no reason to doubt: -Alan white,is great,as always,by his powerful and fine style -Apart from some wrong notes and forgetting words(rare),Benoit David did a great job, particularly on And you and I,Heart of the sunrise and Starship troopers. -The set list was perfect,by the exception of the missing piece "Close to the edge",that I never heard in Yes(live shows -The Olympia's sound was super,a round sound and very rock
Steve Howe is playing better, years after years and I was surprised and charmed by his guitar part on Owner of a lonely heart, much better than the others versions in the past
And,last, the Big and Great Chris, the unique and majestic mister Squire! His style and his sound are still unbelivable and strong, his voice is a pure miracle of beauty. One more great show...
