I still get excited upon the thought of seeing this band whenever they come to town. I've seen them numerous times, not exact on the number, but , these guys still are professional, work hard, and still manage to put out a great show.
I still remember the very first time at the Olympia, in the round.
Siberian is the best opening tune, Steve is still incredible, changing up the guitars on the go, Chris still has the big play, and Alan is still solid.
I wish it were Jon there Saturday, but , I was impressed by how well Benoit worked and sounded. He definitely has had some training! he can sing! You can't compare him to someone that was the heart and soul of the band.
Oliver seems to be a spitting image of Dad, let him get more involved!
All in all , a great show & set of tunes, great venue, and pretty good sound.

I saw Yes last night at the "Sound Board" within the "Motor City Casino" in downtown Detroit last night. I have been a Yes fan since the early 80's when I was first introduced to the bands music. This was the first time I had ever seen the band.

The show was absolutely phenomenal. Specifically, I loved that the play list featured thier 70's stuff and progressive pieces of music. Hearing this music live does justice to albums that were recorded with dated technology of the time. I was absolutely amazed at the bands musicianship. I play guitar myself and greatly appreciated what I heard.

I have never been to this venue before but it is intimate and the sound is great. My only complaint is that the seating is not stadium but we stood up in the back and it was fine after that.
Yes sounded very good and prooved they still have it.
I have seen them many times now since the Tormato tour in 1978.
My friend who is a Motor City Casino guy told me that the shorter setlist is part of the casino rules as they want you to get out and gamble. That is typical for casinos he said and should one should not blame Yes for being tired or whatever. It was about 1 hour and 50 minutes with the encore of Starship which is so wonderful live.
I still miss Jon but David''''''''s voice is a great match for Trevors on "Tempus" and if you close you eyes you cant tell the difference. Early on Chis introduced the two new guys and ''''''''newest members" which makes one wonder about Jon and Rick and will they ever be back?
Still, all in all, Thumbs up.

This is the setlist they played. Small venue and they only played for 1:45. We sat to the left of the stage, Steve's side and this was the closest we have been to the band since the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Sound seemed to be mixed well. Benoit seems to be getting his own voice. Chris stated that the statistician of the group, Oliver, informed him this concert was the 100th time this group had performed together. Too short for their 100th performance. Guess the casino has to get the gamblers back on the floor.
